Hello and Happy New Year.
This email is going out to families living in the counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, who have a family member with a developmental disability. The Community Living organizations in these counties have received a small government grant through the Ontario Caregiver Organization to retain the services of People Minded Business to facilitate the discussion, exploration and formation of a “Family Network” that connects and supports families. There are Family Networks popping up across the province, and we want to gauge the interest level in creating one in the United Counties. The first step of the process involves families taking a few minutes to complete a short online survey. The survey closes on January 31, 2023. Those families that express interest will then participate in an in-person or virtual group session to create the Family Network of SD&G so that it meets your needs.
